Hi there! My name is Kaely Thompson and I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I am also a mama to 3 kiddos whom I breastfed as well. My comprehensive knowledge in newborn and postpartum care stems from my 15 year career as a NICU nurse, specializing as a lactation consultant in the NICU for the last 8 years. I have spent my career caring for the newborn population and have truly found my passion in helping mothers learn to breastfeed and provide breast milk for their infant. I have been in private practice for 6 years now offering in-home and virtual lactation/breastfeeding support. I truly love what I do! It is an honor to be a part of each and every one of my client's breastfeeding journeys.

My philosophy
Breastfeeding is a skill, not an instinct. It's a beautiful blend between art and science and it's a relationship between mom and baby that can be rebuilt, even when it feels hard or impossible. I identified early on that complex feeding challenges aren't well understand in our current healthcare system. Often times moms are told "just keep trying", or "pump more", or "do more skin to skin". I offer an approach that is unique and very specialized. I've spent years developing and refining my methods to fit the mom who wants someone with her as her biggest cheerleader but also someone who offers solutions and hope.
